Do you find writing grant applications daunting? Want to further develop the skills you already have in place? Don’t miss out on this incredible event right here in our community!

The Brokenhead River Community Foundation invites you to attend this informative session on grant writing on Monday, August 25, 2025.

Not only will there be information specific to applying for grants through the BRCF but Sharalyn Reitlo from Community Futures Winnipeg River (CFWR) will be on hand to share tips and tools for grant writing in general.

Sharalyn has been employed with CFWR since December 2008. She started as the Community Development Coordinator and then became the Executive Director in January 2014. Sharalyn manages the CFWR agency and continues to provide Community Economic Development services to assist organizations and communities with research, grant writing, planning, training, and development activities. Her key job duties are facilitating strategic planning and conducting training to strengthen operations in non-profit corporations and informal committees. According to Sharalyn, “grant writing is a key skill that can benefit your organization over and over again. In this session participants will learn about funding agencies and what they look for in successful grant applications. Strategies to find the right funding agencies for your project will be shared along with various writing and presentation tips.”

The Foundation is pleased to offer this evening as a FREE event to local community groups and non-profits in the  BRCF Catchment area. Registration is required prior to attending this event.
