Believe it or not, September is closer than you think. And September at the Foundation means one thing: Granting Season.
The Brokenhead River Community Foundation distributes Grants in a number of different areas in our community. Be it Arts & Culture, Education, Social Services, Environmental Projects, or Health & Physical Activity, there’s a good chance we can help enhance the quality of life in our little community with some extra funds.
Not sure if you qualify for a Grant? Check out https://buff.ly/3de2gTz to learn about the Grants process and fill out an application!
All donations are pooled and invested. The principle is never touched, allowing the Foundation’s funds to continue to grow in perpetuity. Every year, a portion of the interest earned goes back into the community in the form of grants to local organizations, and scholarships and bursaries to graduating students.
To date, a total of 206 grants totaling $294,609 have been provided, and 124 scholarships and bursaries valued at $80,874 have been awarded.
Your donation lasts FOREVER!

“I think it can be said that healthy foundations equal healthy communities.”
We had a wonderful time at this weekend’s Legacy Celebration event at Train Whistle Park in Beausejour!
We are pleased to support the initiative of creating the Rail Trail and we applaud the work of the volunteers and the Town of Beausejour Council and Staff who have made it become a reality. Thank you to all involved!
Association for Community Living 60th Anniversary Event
We had the pleasure of attending the 60th Anniversary Open House Event with the Association for Community Living (ACL) yesterday, where we celebrated the incredible staff, volunteers and members involved. The Brokenhead River Community Foundation is proud to be a supporter of this incredible organization.
ACL provides services and support to adults living with intellectual disabilities, helping them lead meaningful and independent lives as contributing, valued members of their community. It was an honour to attend this event and witness the incredible support and community this organization provides for its members.
Congratulations on 60+ years. Here’s to many more!
