Each $5 gift is worth $7 during the Endow Manitoba Giving Challenge, Nov. 14 – 20

November 10, 2022. Now is the time to help grow our community – together – forever! The Brokenhead River Community Foundation encourages residents of Beausejour and Brokenhead to make a gift between Nov. 14 – 20 as part of the Endow Manitoba Giving Challenge. For this week only, every gift will be stretched by The Winnipeg Foundation and the Manitoba government – increasing the amount the Brokenhead River Community Foundation receives. The Winnipeg Foundation and the Manitoba government are committed to the growth of community foundations across Manitoba, each providing a maximum stretch of $2,000 per foundation. The Brokenhead River Community Foundation can receive up to $4,000 in stretch funding. Online gifts can be made securely through endowMB.org. Contact Brokenhead River Community Foundation for more giving options.

“This is a great opportunity to support your community through the Brokenhead River Community Foundation,” says Danielle Gerylo, Communications and Marketing Coordinator of the BRCF.  “Of course, we welcome gifts at any time, but giving between Nov. 14 – 20 means extra support. We’re so excited to see what our community can accomplish!”

Gifts made between Nov. 14 – 20 will help grow Brokenhead River Community Foundation’s capacity to support a wide range of charitable projects in Beausejour and the RM of Brokenhead for generations to come. Donations to a community foundation are pooled and permanently invested. Gifts are never spent and the money will always stay in the community. Every year, these investments generate money that is distributed to support local charitable needs. Community foundations provide support that lasts forever. Manitoba is home to 56 community foundations – more than any other area of the country. Every year, these foundations invest millions of dollars into a wide range of local charitable projects. They help ensure our hometowns are vibrant and thriving. For more information, contact Danielle Gerylo at (431) 343-2723 or by email at brcf@brcfoundation.ca
